Dear Singer,
I agree that I should move about if I can. But I must repudiate the charge that
my judgment goes astray by my being cut off from outside contact. I have
breathed not a word about the undue deaths. And in my letter to Padmaja, I
simply told her what the papers had suggested. Mark my extraordinary care in
avoiding all public reference without testing the truth of the allegations
through no less an authority than sober Padmaja. I therefore accept your apology
in anticipation.
Love,
Spinner
