Chapter-50: What A Boy Can Do

To a boy who wanted to know how he could be of service

“I am you realize that poverty is the common lots of millions. The real way to pray to Lord Krishna is to do His name some little service to those who are less fortunate than ourselves; and when we show the spirit of service in daily life, unbelieving neighbors will begin to believe in God. You can do untouchability work by yourself going among untouchables and rendering such service as is possible to them as if they were members of our own family. If you do not know Hindi, you should quickly learn it.”

Recorded under November 14, 1932; ibid., p. 243.
