Chapter-60: Bangles For Girls

Bangles and the kumkuma mark [on the forehead] are indications of the married or marriageable state for women. Therefore girls who intend to marry may certainly go in for these things. If you like to wear bangles or make the kumkuma mark, do so by all means. You may do this even as a mark of respect for mother’s wishes. Do not hurt her feelings.
